Mihály MŐCSÉNYI
The carbon-dioxide syndrome (2.)

(Summary)

The production of plants giving renewable energy – apart from that of the C4-type sugar cane – is uneconomical and their use causes more pollution (and so CO2 emission) than burning of fossil oil or gas. Global warming – according to the recent “official” opinion – is caused by artificial carbon dioxide as the heat energy of the long-wave radiation starting from the surface of our planet is absorbed by the “surplus” CO2 and retained in the atmosphere, would generate a greenhouse effect and lead to catastrophes.

Mihály MŐCSÉNYI – The carbon-dioxide syndrome (2.)

Many people predict the melting of ice on Earth, the rise of sea-levels by several meters, cessation of the Gulf Stream a new ice-age in Europe and droughts leading to famine. Vapour of water is a more effective “radiation-trap” than CO2, moreover 55-times more water is evaporated into the air daily than artificial CO2 released yearly. Melting of the floating ice of the North Pole does not result in rising sea levels, the thickness of ice on the Antarctic is growing on the other hand and it would take 2000 years for the ice on Greenland to melt.
