Mrs. Miklós JÓZSA A well developed garden Garden of the Year 2008 – Award of Special Merit(Summary) In this project we were commissioned
to redesign a small
garden. The house, which is situated
on a small plot of land, was
extended with a conservatory
through the living room. Hence
the existing garage had to move
to the street front, where the
owner of the neighbouring plot
has started building work at the
same time.
A little pond was created
adjacent to the conservatory,
which acts as a reservoir
for the house and the garden
alike. The intimate path between
the garage and the house nicely
connects the front garden to the
main garden. During construction
the original fence was lifted and it
was placed on a concrete base. A
row of Thuja plants was planted
alongside the new fence. The
new concrete wall was covered
with natural stone cladding and
now has an adjoining slope which
is planted with a great variety of
alpine conifers and herbaceous
perennials. |
