Biological and barhing pools (5)
Biological public pools

(Summary)

The two main elements of the man-made biological and environmental friendly natural public pools are the swimming zone and the planted up regeneration zone. These pools can be a beneficial and more economical substitute of traditional, chemically managed pools for pensions, hotels and holiday resorts.

Ing. János BARTAL – Biological and barhing pools (5) – Biological public pools

The low maintenance costs make it possible for local governments to transfer their old style, chemical pools, which are not conform to hygiene standards, into modern, biological public pools hence cutting down the costs of construction. Water cleansing is very simple in the biological pool; the water of the swimming zone is channelled into a network of pipes leading into the pump. This pump circulates the water through a series of biological filters where the water is cleansed by aerobic bacteria. The clean water afterwards is pumped back into the swimming zone.
