Registration of the ornamental varieties(Summary)
Floriculture is typically a field
where the number of species and
varieties are numerous, therefore
it is regulated loosely all over the
world. Like in any other countries
of the European Community Hungary
also regulate the lunch of
propagating material of ornamental
plant by issuing decrees. 
Rights of breeders is protected
by plant protection, registration
and trademark. The Central Agricultural
Office carries out DUS
trial which is a basic requirement
for applying registration and plant
protection. Variety descriptions
are made according to CPVO
protocols and national guidelines
which are based on UPOV guidelines. |
